Our comprehensive project management model covers every aspect of a construction project from preliminary project planning through deployment and warranty-period tasks. Ahma's expertise as a project management company guarantees expertise and the best possible quality in cost control, scheduling, procurement procedures, construction and site deployment.
At Ahma, each project is unique and has its own characteristics. Depending on the customer and project requirements, the implementation can be organised with a project management contract, project management service or design-build contract.
The company employs a versatile team of experts for implementing infrastructure and building construction projects, building technical systems, environment consultation and environmental impact assessment. Ahma has long-term framework agreements with the district organisations of the Finnish Road Administration (Tiehallinto), the Helsinki Metropolitan Area Council (YTV), Helsinki City Real Estate Department and the City of Tampere.
Depending on customer requirements, Ahma’s project management implementation covers all operational phases. A sample implementation follows:
Project planning phase
We prepare preliminary cost estimates, conduct environmental surveys and determine whether permits are needed.
Environmental impacts and permits
We prepare environmental impact assessments and acquire the necessary environmental permits.
Construction permits and city plans
We manage any alterations to city plans, planning task specifications and construction permits.
Project planning
We draft a project plan that presents the project organisation, the procurement strategy and the chosen implementation and contracting methods. We also prepare a quality assurance plan for the construction project.
Design stage
We supervise the architectural design, functioning as the chief designer when necessary. Ahma arranges bidding for designers, selects designers and prepares the design contracts.
Procurement and contracts
We administer all procurement processes: the company prepares a procurement strategy and the documents for tender requests, lists the qualified suppliers, arranges bidding for them, organises contract negotiations, prepares contracts, supervises contract compliance and audits the supplier invoices.
Construction site
We organise job site supervision according to the task lists in force that govern the site supervision of building construction or earthworks.
Site deployment
We manage the inspections and permits related to the deployment of the site.
Warranty period
We manage the warranty period tasks of the site.
Environmental monitoring
We manage the environmental monitoring of the worksite during the construction period. If the customer so requires, we will also manage the environmental monitoring, including sampling and reporting activities, that are needed during the operational phase of the site.
